    Trying to get mine installed...

241 xfer case. JB Conversions SYE installed.
I need a pic of one installed on a 241 w the sye.

I have tried it with the spacers in front of the bracket, behind the bracket, etc. Even when I get every thing lined up, the 12 pt bolts going thru the disc to the cv flange are going to hit the bracket mounting bolts as the shaft rotates...

    Any ideas?
Going to give Jess a call tomorrow...

    Thanks,
    Byron

Dood.... I got the same deal on my 205.... I tightened all the 12pt 12mm bolts down, and a month or so later i got this new clicking sound... It turns out it was those driveshaft bolts just barely backed out and they were hitting the other bolts for the caliper bracket mount...
I just tightened em down again and they're alright... every once in a while when i hear that sound i know one of my driveshaft bolts has backed out about 1/2 a turn. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Hmmm. i'm trying to see the logic in that... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
The distance between the 2 bolts for the caliper mount and the 4 bolts for the driveshaft flange is really close... The heads of the bolts almost contact each other, adding washers to either of those bolts would make that distance even closer if not making them touch each other then. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yep.. Jess got me straightened out.
Apparently, JB Conversions uses several different vendors to machine the rear plate for their SYE kit. The plate I have has smaller holes in it than the plates Jess supplies.
Since the ID of the holes are smaller than the OD of the spacers, the spacers would not seat into the holes in the plate, causing the caliper bracket to be too close to the rotor.

The spacers he sent were correct, but too big for the plate I have.

Jess offered to send a set of smaller spacers to me 2 day air, to get the brake on right.

Yet another example of the first rate customer service High Angle provides.... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks to all for the replies! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
