high idle fix?

    my 85 is idlin pretty high, what do i do to fix it?
    i dont know how high, cause i aint got a tach, jsut ne sugestions?

    Your throttle cable is on the driver's side of your carb. There's a screw on the front of the bracket that holds it to the carb. Back that screw out and listen closely to your idle. It should drop as you turn it out.

    If the throttle shaft bores in your carb are worn out, you may not be able to set the idle RPMs to spec. Backing off the initial timing will help if you can get away with it. Also look for any other vacuum leaks.
