Hill off road shackles... what bolt size???

    i'm gonna order some Hill shackles for my suburban and i need to know what bolt size i need. it's an 89 3/4 ton suburban.

    I think they are 7/16",but you can(want) to drill em' out to 1/2".I thought they gave you the option.Mike

    they do give you the option, but i need to know what size bolts are on my suburban. 7/16 sounds right but i remember some one telling me they were 1/2 on the 3/4 ton suburbans.

    Nope,they are 7/16" on the 3/4 ton as well.Mike

    No votes..But I have/had a '81 3/4 ton 4x4 'Burb..it had 7/16" bolts.But what I know??? /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif Mike

    they're half inch!!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif in 87 they changed that! i was on the phone with mudbogAD and he reminded me, in 87 they went from 7/16 to 1/2". as a matter of fact, when i ordered my suspension, they had tha small hole bushings in them and i had to get new ones! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
