I wanted to check and re-pack the wheel bearings and replace the seal in the hub on the 60. Forgot to take the caliper off, couldn't fiqure out why the hub/rotor would come off. Duh. So I spent the next 10 minutes scratchin my head trying to figure out how to get the damn caliper off. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Finally found the little allen screw on the bottom of the caliper. Kinda wierd that that is all that holds the caliper on. Wierd stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif Anyways..That is all. Carry on. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah, it seems pretty goofy. Leave it sitting around unassembled for a few months, then you'll really scratch your head trying to remember how to get it all back together. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

That caught me off guard at first too. Now that I've had it apart a few times, I rather like the design. Its convenient and easy!

brillient, simple and stupid design all at once. the little slider that holds it all together is pretty ingenious too.

Dood... I hope you pulled the knuckles off and checked the lower bearing race and inner C for wear... It's probably just fine, but knowing what i know now, i would have checked that right off the bat when buying a D60. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Are kingpins as bad to do as balljoints?

    Ryan-

Gears look great...only got 40K miles on the axle. Not gonna worry bout the king pins with only 40K miles. Thanks for reminding me about the spindle bearings though. Damn...lol, now I gotta take it apart again.
