24' 2" .375 wall DOM tube- $324
drive shafts from hell?
I'm guessing rear 4-link...
Thats enough for front & rear
That must suck.
Here we found 2"x.500 DOM for $180 a stick
just curious, what exacty is DOM tubing and what makes it so expensive?
drawn over mandrel, how it's made, the seam is stronger or something like that. I'm sure someone will explain better.
They just had a big featured article in the latest peterson's, if you have access to one.
Greg is right.
If I order the material in full sticks, delivery is free. My initial figuring has my links between 40-45". I rounded up to 48" for the margin of error thing. 4 links at 4' each= 16'. That leaves me enough for a spare link or two depending on the final length.
The reason I wanted quotes on two different sizes is cause I don't know which material I'm gonna go with yet. One or the other. The final price will be less than the above cause it'll prolly go on the High Angle Driveline account.
