Hello, Does anyone know how to adjust the Hi speed idle on a Holley 4BBL.? When I start my truck it starts fine. when warming up the rpm goes to about 2000rpm. I can not get the hi speed idle to kick down til the engine is totally warm. It is very hard on the drive train when putting it into gear. and is hard to stop when I need to brake. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all in advance!! /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Not knowing what model number of your carb it sounds like its a choke/fast idle adjustment. When the choke is closed, it sets the carb to fast idle until it warms up and the choke is open and the idle drops. Fast idle helps it warm up faster and prevent it from stalling until things warm up. Sounds like yours may be set too high.
