hey dave. welcome to our little slice of heaven. or, as dio would say, it's heaven and hell. what part of the bay are you calling home? is it permanent, or just for a job, or what?
so anyway, hell yeah, lets go wheelin. frank raines is very user friendly, might not be as impressive as some you've been to. i'd sure like to get the hollister thing going...
BURT4X4 is in the area, GANDOLF, 1HIHUM, CHAZ, USEYOURBLINKER, let's go!!!!!
throw a post on the main board if this thing is jumpin off.

Great to hear of so many of us out here! Man I already went to Frank Raines last Sunday. I saw a group of trucks getting ready to go up into the wild blue yonder so I joined up with them for the day. They didn't want to really do much except a couple creek crossings and I went through a small rock garden and a big mud pit. We had fun anyways. Can't wait to get together with you guys. I will post on the main board for the next time I go out which will probably be the 18th.

i don't know how far in you guys went last wknd, the creek is pretty close to the front. i'm sure you saw the terrain, mostly trails going around the park.
i talked to the guy that runs the joint, and he said they just got another parcel of land, behind the hills with all the roads on them. it might be open already, its been awhile.
i bet the the creek is runninghigh right now. call me a kid, but splashin through that is a blast.
its supposed to rain all this weekend, they'll close the park, cause the clay gets too slippery. but they'll open up as soon as the sun comes out and gets it tacky. last i checked weatherdotcom it was gonna be wet until wednesday. that actually might make a trip next weekend a blast!

Let me now when you guys are planning a Hollister Hills trip. I live in Hollister. We also have clear creek and New Idria mines. I went to Clear creek last weekend and had a blast. There was a little snow on the ground so there was some muddy areas also most of it was pretty dry.
