I am entering Thumper in the truck pulls next Saturday.. Shewheeler will probably be driving it also.. Thou they are not going to have a powderpuff class.. She well be in the same class has me.. I am going to try and get the weight down to the 4500 class that way I can compete with the jeeps.. I have done a lot of fender trimmin and no top so I might be close.. I have to wait untill monday to get a weight on it... Come on out and support us or enter your truck. It is at 7:00 pm at the San Beinto county fairgrounds...Dan

Okay, ole Bubba Ray is about to have a Class 5 thermonuclear meltdown. Why is everyone doing all the cool stuff in October? Do I just need to move up in the career field so the wife will let me loose?

Anyway, hope you throw the smackdown on those candya** Heep people and when you're done smacking, smack them some more. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

YYYYEEEHHHAAAA Just got back from finding a scale that was open.. Thumper weights 5020 pds.. And that was with a little bit of camping gear still in it and a 5 gallon jug of water and a 5 gallon gas can.. Looks like I get to compete againest the J**ps. Takin the doors, tailgate and top off and major fender trimmin makes a big wieght diffrence...Dan

Is that with the doors and top on?? I also had a full size spare in it.. I just needed to be under 5500 with me in it to be in the lighter class. So I made it...LOL

Yup Doors , top, tail gate. But see I don't have excess junk inside or out yet.......no back seat, speakers, stereo, radio, tools, jack. But then again my last jobs scale might not be accurate they've gottn tickets for over weight on axles!

I think from the factory they where like 5600 pds.. So maybe a scale was off.. I didn't have the backseat in but I had a lot of stuff still in there from camping.. I'm going to take everything out and try again tomorrow.. I might have to add a little weight for the pulls...LOL

What all are they having besides the truck pulls??
If I get enough stuff done on my rig maybe I can bring down the family.

I found out today I have to go in the upper class weight.. It is between 4500 and 5500,, I can pull about 500 pds out of the truck.. But they weight it with me in it.. So I am screwed. Now I have to add weight to the front to get it closer to the 5500 mark...Dan

What if I Strap A chair to the hood and sit on it while you do the pull. Would that be enough weight?

Dan... is there a motorcycle place in hollister to get 110 octane? I get my 114 "trick" racing fuel from Speed merchant and mix it in for my car.
