Climbers involve at least 3 dead, 4 critical. They are from a fire & rescue themselves that where out on a climb.

Watch the news, when it rolls down the hill, someone gets ejected and stands up.

I dont know if you guys remember the rescue helicopter that crashed looking for a down plan in colorado last jan, but i was on the ground team for that rescue. lucky nobody was hurt in both crashes then. being a search and rescue person is a humbling and dangerous position and this goes to show no matter how well you train or good you are. [censored] happens.
If is avalible in your area buy the backcountry recuse insurance its usualy a few bucks at a gear shop and helps those that dedicate their time and lifes to save others in missfourtune.

Speaking of American made, Im sure this has been posted here before, but I thought this would be a good time to put this up. Lets pull for those helicopter rescuers and thank goodness they are ok.

Don't forget about the dead and critically injured. They may not be the rescuers or members of the FD that went up there, but they are the ones everyone was concerned with in the first place.

That copter crash is turning out even more amazing.....

6 crew on board. Was lifting a patient
Patient was released off the line saving his life.
4 of the crew was ejected and one of them had the copter roll over him.

Turns out he had the least amount of injuries of all the crew.

Talk about hitting the lottery. Training was irrelivant after they hit the ground. Nice reaction to drop the patient too.

Everyones status has been upgraded, so it looks like everyone else will survive.

I thought I saw it roll on somebody. Geez they sure were lucky. I guess they are closing the mountain to hikers for a bit so they can do investigating on why the copter when down. Well the pilot said it was a gust of wind. I would believe the pilot.
