I visited Denver today for the first time in 8 years... ... ...... /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I don't know what to say... It's INSANE... I was in the back seat of a Furd Taurus zipping around cars and trucks, on and off of different highways going about 70 mph, not knowing where we were or if I'd be alive in ten seconds...

Then we decided to go to the 16th Street Mall... What a cool place. Almost got run over by a bus, got to witness a bus being evacuated, almost got run down by a firetruck, had the constant feeling that someone was about to shoot my head off and take my wallet, had the lady at Barnes and Noble put my straw on the counter instead of hand it to me... /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif Rode the scariest escalators ever... I never thought I'd be scared out of my mind going up an escalator... then I rode one at the 16th street mall... Some strange girl offered to tell me when I was born for a dollar... I told her I already know, thanks... ..... ...

That is all... I'm quite traumatized, don't think I'll be leaving Cheyenne for a while... or at least not till my brother decides to take me to the Hard Rock Cafe /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif

I went to Denver a few times last year and all I ever heard was how bad the traffic was. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif It was a cake walk compared to the Bay Area with it's highway system.

I've driven through Denver twice and been to the bay area a couple times. Also been to Cheyenne...

Bay area is by far the worst collection of bizarre and crazy traffic I've ever had the misfortune to drive in. L.A. was easier than the Bay area...

The most lost I've been was leaving DBlazers house in Dallas. If Nash hadn't led me back to the freeway I'd prolly still be there living under some overpass...

I've driven around most of the major cities in this country and I'd have to say that Califormia is the worst for traffic but New England is horrible for roads that follow old cow paths and go everywhere and exit ramps with no on ramps and stuff like that. Anybody who has driven north out of Boston know what I'm talking about.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I live in L.A. and Boston scares me. Definition of terror: driving out of the Boston airport. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

i kno what you mean, its hell, but they finally finished the main part of the big dig so alot of traffic and construction is gone now, underwater, hahaha, i wouldn't trust that tunnel tho, cause 1 year ago it was flooded with leaks and they lost over $100k in equipment, hahahahaha, boston is hell, and all of the side roads in this state blow

I had to go to So Cal (Sun City) about a week ago to pick up a Dog. Made great time going down there. Breezed thru Vegas no problem.
Got to Barstow and came to a complete stop. WTF I was over an hour out of LA in the middle of the desert. Bumper to bumper stop and go all the way in. Jees I dont know how people live like that. People making scuicide runs just so they can stop /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I got our dog and turned around got the hell out of that loony place.
I'm glad to be back in the sticks where if I run into 20 cars on my 20 mile drive to work traffic is heavy. And people waive at you without using their middle finger.

Geeze, why does everyone hate Barstow? Im going out there on the 1st to go watch an off road race. Plus I have coworkers from there and they seem normal, well at least i think so.....

Next time if you go about 30 minutes farther south on the I-15 you'll reach the lovely town of victorville, apple valley and hesperia. makes barstow look like a ghost town.

I have to throw a mention of the traffic around our great nations capital. It is real bad and seems to be getting worse every day. I am moving to Denver in May and can't wait to deal with the "traffic" there.

I've been there.... OH wait that was Detroit. Went to 9mile to pickup a glass for my tailgate then drove downtown by way of harper, got lost and had to take a detour, never thought we would make it in a big white 2000 dodge ram with cb ant and chrome push bars. Never felt so out of place and scared for my life /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

OH yeah, for it being the motor city the roads SUCK A$$
