I just received an email from my host, they screwed up the billing for the bandwidth, instead of 950. bucks it is only 46.00. Damn, they scared the crap out of me this morning, anyway, I still am using over a gig per day of bandwidth so I still plan on removing the free sites, but at least I can sleep tonight. For those of you who donated thank you very much, it will be put to good use to cover next month, just wanted you guys to know, here is the email I got from my host.

    ---------------------

    Hello Steve,

Okay I took a look at your account and when you were upgraded the start date for the Strictly Business service was accidently set to 5-17-2000. I went ahead and changed that to 2001 and reran your billing. The correct balance is now 46.40.

I apologize for the mistake. If you need anything else just let us know.

    Thanks!
    Sarah

Wow! Good news! I think they should give you a free month just for the stress they caused...

This mornings post prolly caused 2700 ulcers, I'm glad the bill was only $46.

    Rene...breathing a sigh of relief

PS..I'm also still gonna send some dough

Boy, I'm glad to hear that!!

Kinda funny, though... I never thought I'd get so wound up about the finances of a person I never met. My donation is on the way anyway; think of it as payback for all the other months you paid out-of-pocket.

<font color=red>SPEAKING OF WHICH, maybe you should "guilt" them into checking your past billings to see if this has happened to you before!<font color=black> I seem to recall something about a $300 bandwidth bill not long ago, maybe they balled that up too...?? Just a suggestion, take it as you wish. Anyway, glad to hear you don't have to shell out a grand to pay for OUR habit!

OK, now I can finally stop saying I'm "gonna" or "need to" or "will." My donation is sitting at the bottom of a mailbox right now. I hope everyone else that hasn't done so yet throws a few samoliens Steve's way.
