Me and some of my friends are planning a trip for Saturday the 15th. I am not sure if I will camp or just make it a day run, it depends on what everyone wants to do.

I know that a lot of you are going to carnage this weekend but hopefully some of you can make it up for this trip.

Dang, I would love to but with current gas prices I can only afford one wheeling trip a month. :doah:

Unless B_to_C can make it, then I'll see about hitching a ride and splitting the gas.

If the axle swap goes well, and the shakedown trip to Carnage Sunday works out, I'm definitely in. I'll probably bring the camper and camp the night before.

I will be willing to go again when you get the blue thing fixed.

Next time I will try to give more than a weeks notice.

I'm glad that you posted up about the trip, but neither B_to_C nor I will be able to make it. I have a honey-do list to take care of and Nick's a broke-ass college student.

You know another Holy Cross run the last week in August or first week in September would be good for me. My pwr steering pump gave up the ghost last time on that trail and I want to go back and kick its ass. Plus I've added the front locker, 4.56 gears, and clocking ring since then.

Let's tentatively plan to try again Sep 2nd or 3rd.

Sounds good to me. Its close enough to gypsum that its no big deal to make another trip.

If this is still a go, I might be able to come out there for the day.
Last time it only took me 21 min. to make it over shrine pass to redcliff from the top of vail pass. I've always got too much to do but I'd love to get the "Trooper" out for some fun. What time would the run be?

Boy do I remember that trip. Had a blast. Driving back down Holy Cross with no power steering was quite interesting, to say the least. :doah:

Nick will never forget you guys trying to flip the "hammer" on the rock jutting out from the wall! Nearly as much carnage that day as OCG this year. Just think Mark you won't have to drive CS for parts for the "blue thing".
I've got a new Centerforce Performance Clutch setting here waiting for the release bearing to show up, then it is off to the shop for installation.

Actually it's pretty easy, underestimate all of your future expenses, including summer school, then max out your only credit card buying huge hunks of rubber....then just sit back and think of ways to get free food so you can keep your stash that has to last you at least another month from vanishing prematurely :doah:

TRUE! That's a special bond only Fred and I have...we're the only ones to witness / experience how close the hammer can get to flopping without actually crunching sheetmetal :eek1:
