    The boss called.....................................................

I'm up next for a new patrol car.

The real boss (the sheriff) was taken out for a test drive by a trooper a few days ago.

It's not ordered yet, nor has a decision been made just yet but rumor has it that I may be approached about replacing me current steed with my actual #3 on my approval list, but is actually the best handling and fastest out of the list.

    Stay tuned for further details..............................:haha:

Hold your horses, it's not set in stone yet. But I will admit to testing one out a few months ago and hitting 149mph before I backed off:D

They have the throw you through the back of the seat when you step on the pedal engine..............

I don't know what the HP output of them are, all I know is they are f'n quick and fast.

Like I said, the Charger is #3 on my wish list as sick as that sounds.

The CVPI is #1 just because it's a proven warhorse, and in 2005, they upped the HP. They get up a hell of a lot better than the older models. The newly redesigned Tahoe PPV is a real close #2 to the CVPI. The mileage is rated about the same as the CVPI, and it has the speed and get up as the CVPI. But from everything I have read and just from my test drive, the Charger may just overtake Ford just because the price is about the same and if they don't have any issues, everything should be good.

With that being said though, a few weeks ago a coworker asked me what I thought and I recommended the CVPI. If I "were" to get a Charger, the one thing I really didn't like was the rooflines and the "feel." The rooflines to me would be a big issue because with my current car, I had the radar relocated to the roof, and along with the camera controls, I think all of those would have to be moved for a Charger. The CVPI has the feel of a cop car, the Charger to me didn't. That could be one of those things that I could possibly get over. The other thing I would really appreciate on the Charger is the sound system. It totally blows away the stock Ford unit.

So far all of this is hypothetical. It would be nice to have a Charger because then I would be able to run down traffic stops a little faster, if people were to run, I could get into position faster, or in the case of some Chrysler products, I would actually get to see them. Also, being county, our cars see a lot of time on the dirt. That throws another obstacle, can they handle it? We haven't heard anything yet, and some counties tried Impalas and they broke apart from county use.

I don't know how or when, but the boss will probably chat with me about it. I pretty much had the idea nixed a few weeks ago, and really just wanted to get psyched up for another CVPI, but if the boss wants to buy one, I'm first in line and he's pretty happy with my performance as of late, well hell I can't remember the last time he jumped my ass for anything, but then again I only see him twice a month anyway.:D

I think they would handle the roads just fine. Basically the suspension is from a Mercedes and those cars have been beat up and down bad roads all over the world for years......
