The wife is wanting something a little more practical than her convertible mustang GT, so today we went out and looked at the Cadillac CTS. It was a great car. It rode nice, looked nice, has a lot of space inside and about 4 times as much trunk space. BUT, one would think for the general’s premier division, there would be very little orange peel in the paint. This is by far the worst I’ve ever seen in my life. Every body panel and every color we looked at. (there were no black or pearl white cars) It looked worse than when I helped my friend paint his 69 camaro when we were 16. I’m not joking or exaggerating. I wish I would have had my camera with me because I’m sure it would have shown up in the picture. It’s a nice car, but I can’t bring myself to spend that kind of coin for such poor quality of paint.

orange peel is easy to fix, start with 1000, then 1500, then 2000, then get some imperial hand glaze, and a buffer with a wool pad, start buffing, then switch to a foam pad, and wash it all off!id do it for ya for 100 bux....

It looked like it was in the color coat. I guess it could have been in the clear coat though.

Just use a clay bar and two hours of your time. Orange peel/fish eyes come right out.
