I just got a registered letter from my Aunt. It contains a cashiers check for 12,000.00 dollars!

I am totally stunned, this is out of the blue, I guess my other two brothers and sister also received the same thing.

I just started saving money to by a Honda CBR1000rr. I guess I will be no longer saving for it.

I am numb, just totally focking numb.

    lol, WOW!

My great grandpa passed away not too long ago and we got a check too, (not $12,000 but still a lot) and it surprised me too, they live in Texas. We don't talk to them but maybe once a year if that but they said he wanted us to have a part too. Have fun w/ that man.

where the heck can you buy a house with 12K. You'd need at least 30-40K just for a 10% down payment around here.

I bought a house for $20K two weeks ago. Moving into it in two weeks and selling my current house which has a higher mortgage than the "new" house. I'm hoping the sale of my current home will pay off the mortgage and have leftover to pay off the "new" home, if not, most of it. I want a cheap house payment.

no kidding...I laughed out loud the other day at work....we were listening to the radio while cleaning up and there is an ad right now for a new housing development coming through town and they said "homes starting in the low $400,000's up to the mid $700,000's" like it was something good. :haha:

Money is meant to be spent. As long as there are things out in the world that have wheels, I will be spending money.

I have no bills, with the exception of utilities, insurance etc. I have no credit payments of any type. So everything I purchase is cash. I figure right there I am ahead in the game of life.

Yes, maybe investing this money would be wise, but what fun is that? I want to be able to do things in life before I am unable to do them. As far as I am concerned this is unexpected money, money I can use to enjoy life a bit more then I already do.
