I just got my dsl hooked up and it about 4 times faster than my dial up connection. I knew dsl was faster but didnt know it was this much faster. This is going to work great with my impatient attitude /forums/images/icons/grin.gif because most of the time I needed the info yesterday

    test your speed.
    www.speed-test.net
do the 200 down then 200 up.
your up will be faster then cable guys,
least mine is when it is working,
the modem seems to be dying.
I have to unplug for 2 minutes every hour or so to reset it.

I got 1.983 Mbps down and 0.401 Mbps up on Shaw cable.

I'll try again later when less people are online...see if it makes a big difference.

Morpheus, but I'm begining to wonder about spyware /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
I'm looking a music spy, I won't go back to Kazaa, I picked up too many viruses, that's also why morpheus switched. I'm also considering winmx, I haven't tried the new version.
And just so y'all know, I am running wireless broadband, I have an antenna on my roof pointed at a tower 30 miles to the east. It runs pretty quick for gaming, I run ping rates of about 80-150 /forums/images/icons/cool.gif . It was an experiment by Sprint that failed, they aren't making any money at it so they aren't taking new customers, but were willing to keep all of us current ones on until our contracts run out. Not sure what I'm gonna do then, can't get cable, and I can't get DSL, I live 20 miles from the nearest town /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
