I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get some old home movies (the ones that are played with a reel to reel projector) transferred to vhs tape. My parents have a bunch of them from when I was a little tike, but thier projector doesn't work anymore. I don't even know what the process is called so I can do an internet search. anybody know? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm sure you can find someone near you but if you don't there is someone near me who does it. It's not very expensive... Call a few camera shops in your area and ask them.... If not, PM me and I can give you his phone number and you can do it through the mail. He is trustworthy...

I have a video projector recorder some where. My dad used it to transfer his parents tapes and make copies for all the family. I'll ask and see if he still has it. How many videos do you have that you want transfered?

I had a bunch of 8mm tapes transferred to video as a gift for my parents, but IIRC I just looked in the yellow pages under "video".

I just did a google search for "8mm and transfer" and got a bunch of hits. I think this is kinda what you are looking for, no?

I think the process is just called "video transfer" /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

pop's said he didn't know where it was but its only about $50 for the box you shoot the video into (providing you have a projector also).
