Any pics of homemade consoles. Search didn't show much I was looking for. I've got the original thats in decent shape, but I'm wanting something a little tougher and lockable. I like the Tuffy Security ones but don't have that kinda cash for just a console. I would like something a little better that an ammo can also /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. But I'll do what I have to do /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. Anybody weld up a steel one like the Tuffy brand?????? PICS...please. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

At wall-mart they have some storage boxes that are just about the same size of the factory consoles maybe a little bigger, & there on sale for 9$'s. I'm not talking about no rubbermade POS, these are like minitures of what someone would put in the back of there truck. yes they do have places for a pad-lock. there in the automotive Dept. Just bolt it down & you should be safe.

I know what you mean. No CUP-HOLDERS (64oz from Chevron is my favorite .85 refills).

Everyone walks on them to get to the back.

I wanted a Military Ammo can.. but to no avail. I couldn't find one with close dimensions. I was going to build my own and buy one of those $19.99 adjustable cup holders and bolt it onto my homemade center console.

SO back to welding one up using 3/16" or maybe 1/8" sheet metal.

I will go to Walmart tomorrow and see what you're talking about! That sounds sweet if it's made out of metal!

Talk about overkill!!! I plan on making my own eventually. I want a spoolgun for my millermatic 135 to run aluminum, and I have several sheets of 10 ga alum....I love homeade stuff. However, that one at walmart sounds cool...may go look at it for use in the meantime! The stock unit is just so damn flimsy.

    hello!
Yea, I also wanted to use an ammo can, but couldnt find the deminsions I wanted either. So I had an idea, I might use an ammo crate. The ones made of wood, could very easily put a hasp on it. The only thing it might be a bit short. I dunno, just thinkin out loud.

I will be looking for the Wal-mart console. If all else I found A site where a 20mm Ammo can was customized a little nicer than usual. Too bad they put it in a /forums/images/graemlins/eek.giffurd bunco /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif.
