Sooo....... I got my hands on a nice home stereo system, and put my subs in the mix... Then I decided to hook my tv up to it... So I bought some AV cables and KoRn's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif, plugged in one end to the TV, and the other end to the back of the stereo... and no sound. What the piss? I've tried about every plug configuration possible. The TV and the stereo both have 2 jacks.

    Umm... help? Please?!

sometime you have to change the tv settings to external speakers, then the tv speakers dont work but you can still use the volume on the tv remote. Thats the way mine is anyhow /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Make sure the stereo is set for the inputs you're using also.

Does the reciever have video switching? How is everything connected?

My TV is pure VIDEO only, with the RGB 3 way colour input type things

How are you playing a CD through the TV ?

with my big screen, i only have one wire running to it. the video. everything else i run to the back of the reciever. satallite box, xbox, or whatever. you should have one main video out on your reciever. use that to run to the back of your tv in. your cable bpx or anything else, just run it to the back of the reciever using the video 1, 2 and so on

    [/ QUOTE ] That's the way I'm planning on running my 57" Widescreen as soon it gets delivered. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

On the TV I ordered, I'll run one RCA video cable from my A/V receiver (Monitor out) to the yellow jack on video 1 (in). [IMG]
