Horsepower on Factory 454 big Block 1979???

    if its a truck 454, SAE net is 205hp @ 3600rpm and SAE net torque is 335ft/lbs @ 2800rpm

    I should have mentioned it was a Suburban 454 with TH 400.

    Is the 2WD Burban the same HP as the truck motor as stated in this thread?

    yeh, he was just asking because you couldnt get a 454 in a 4wd burban. If it was in a 4wd, it was swapped in, and could possibly be built and have more hp.
