We went to the first rod show of the year a few weeks ago but i didn't take my camera, but I've just found this site http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~speedman29/wheels000.html
that has a lot of the motors on there. It's called Wheels Day so is for...wheels! not just hot rods but there is some good stuff there.
Just click on the first pic then keep hitting 'next' in the top right corner.
It rained on and off in the morning (well it id England!!)but the afternoon was sunny and warm.
Just thought some of you may like a look-see.:D

yeah, like I say, the emphesis is on wheels not rods but there's always a good turn out of everything. Bear in mind that over here, American vehicles are unusual so just owning one sets you aside from Joe Public.
It was a good day out and the whole hotrod, Americana, rock'n'roll scene is really cool.:D

I would deffinately wheel the volvo war wagon.

Were any of those cobra's original or any of them true AC car's? From one of the pictures there appears to be at least 3 cobra's in a row

I saw one original Cobra. There was something like 8 or 10 copies, but some of them were sweet.

He even slurged and got some spray-on mud.

Its impressive that anyone would build an American muscle car or hot rod there - parts have got to be ungodly expensive and hard to get. Looks like a fun show with that mix.

Yup, I dig American hotrod stuff being done over there, their whole dragrace scene, etc...

Didn't see much of a late 60, early 70's muscle contingent...

Guess prime Cuda's, Chevelle's, etc are even more ungodly priced... :doah: :(

There was a lot of really cool 60's and 70's muscle there but not in these pics unfortunately. It was surreal driving there. You'd pull up at a set of lights and see 4 chargers rumble across in front of you. At one junction 3 '70s and 1 '69
    Mach 1s thundered by.
Following a whole line of rods and muscle cars sure makes you realize how efficiant modern cars are.....my eyes were streaming from all the unburnt fuel out of those tail pipes! I loved it!:D
