I used the term "Selling like hotcakes" yesterday.

I have NEVER seen them on sale, so I guess they sell fast all the time at regular price. Is there ever a Hotcake shortage?

    Please discuss.

I've actually never seen them on sales either.

But I wonder if they sell quickly because it's easy to make or eat many for very little money? I can see how a $3 box of mix that produces 100 pancakes may be thought of as high volume. Maybe that's why they sell so fast, in one quick payment you can get many.

McDonald's sells them. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I have witnessed them sell rather quickly however receipt of goods is an entirely different topic.

What are hotcakes? I mean are the just pancakes or something different... I never really thought about it. Assumed they were one in the same... but now you made me wonder!

My question is... what the hell are hot crust buns? You get one for a penny, you get two for a penny... hot crust buns... /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

The reason none of you have ever seen a hotcake is because they're always sold out....... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thus the phrase - "selling like hotcakes" /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

No, the real reason we don't see HOTCAKES is because 99% of normal people call them PANCAKES!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
