Any Houston area members on the list? I'm looking to buy the wife a Suburban in the fall and have noticed many, many burbans on eBay in Houston. I'm looking for 95-98 model with under 75K and prefer to get it from a reputable dealer, any suggestions?

I have family down there and will probably make the purchase there and drive back to Boston.

    Thanks
    John

Texas is the land of the Suburban ... it's known as the Texas Cadillac... it's insane how many you see on the road's here..
Also note.. in Texas.. we do alot of driving between cities.. so most of these truck's will have high "highway" miles on them.. which is no big deal..
    Good luck in your search..

    I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. <a target="_blank" href=http://www.rocko.rockcrawler.com>www.rocko.rockcrawler.com</a>

Yeah, when I left Texas in 82, the Texas Caddy was the dually King Cab. It was crazy!

There are lots of 'burbs in Houston, but you'll find that most of them are 2WD. [IMG] And yeah, mileage tends to run on the high side in Texas 'cause it's just so damn far to go anywhere! [IMG]

    Hey John,
    When I was looking for a 95 - 2000 Z71 last year I came across these folks:
    <a target="_blank" href=http://www.autosolutions2000.com/ASUSA/index.asp>http://www.autosolutions2000.com/ASUSA/index.asp</a>
You tell them exactly what you want and they will find it for you at auction: make, model, year, color, options, etc. I ended up buying a 75 K5 instead so I never really used the service, but some of the deals they had on their lot were very, very sweet. If not them, I would try Baker-Jackson Nissan's used car department on 290. I have a 93 maxima and they have treated me extremely well over the years. I would stay clear of DeMontrond though, they tried to screw me royally once and would not even do the basic warranty work I needed, said it wasn't covered. Then I went to Baker-Jackson, no questions asked, everything covered and replaced. If you use autosolutions let me know how it works out, I'm really curious about them.

    Good luck,
    Z Man [IMG]
