This guy built one.
Haven't seen this here yet, if repost - disregard.
Personally, I think the H2 is butt ugly.
Man, I wish I had that kind of talent with sheetmetal.
NO $HIT ON THAT ONE. wow I am impressed. It obviously wont be perfect but damn thats impressive. he probably did it with a stick welder, a hammer and a rock. I am really depressed about my own fabrication skills now.
that's pretty cool. My dad is going to like this. he's an genius with sheetmetal.
that is awesome! I hate them, but if I could build one like that, I'd be so proud of it.
There is some guy on Pirate who was being stupid posting in the Chevy section about puting a Duramax in his H2. Thats a cool swap but the truck was full on show junk, he listed a website with no pictures of the H2.
You know what, as I see the guy who did it, that totally reminds me of Eshanki on Pirate. He and his friends in I believe it is Iran, they build custom Jeep bodies by hand. Lots of REALLY sick sheetmetal work all done without big fancy equipment. Jessie James could learn from those guys.
wow, thats awesome. I wonder what it started out as....
And if that doesn't represent the "built not bought" slogan, i don't know what does.
Couldn't agree more.
The skill level considering the tools used is just amazing, and that's why I posted it. Makes me feel really spoiled.
That is a lot of work.
Does anyone remember "Militoy" from back in the 80's? It was a K5 featured in either fourwheeler or Petersons' (I think Peterson's) that the owner had done a little sheetmetal hi-jinx on. It looked pretty cool. It was probably around 85 or so, give or take. I always thought it was pretty sweet.
not much of an H2 fan (but not an anti-H2 fanatic either..) but that guy has mad mad MAD sheetmetal skillz. If I was half as good I'd be shickled titless.
Is that the one where the guy hand-built an aluminum body for his K5? With cut-down doors (actually just openings - the doors themselves were deleted) and what I think was an early attempt at boatsiding? If that's the one, I remember it well - I cut the pages out of the mag and put them up on my bedroom wall (I was like 12 or 13...)
I have pics of this Rig. I am gonna post them Tuesday.
I have the Jan 1992 Issue it is the cover on. The thing is pimp.
That could be the one. I saw it in the mags a couple of times from about 85 into the early 90's. It even had "militoy" written on it somewhere. I also believe it was Sonny Heniger (I know that's not how it's spelled but I'm being lazy) the creator/brainchild behind scorpion. Sometime in the mid 90's he also had that Dodge all militaried out with a 50 cal on the roof.
I'd like to see a pic of militoy again.. been along time since I've seen a pic. All my old mags got ruined in 98, so my collection that went back the about 81 is gone. Although they mostly covered show trucks, there were still some nice rides back then.
Ok I Will scan the whole article tues. It was 9096 T6 Alum. .096 Thick .
soni had the war wagon, it was a dodge
yeah thats sick, so was the scorpion!
If memory serves, it was a guy named Doug Albert from somewhere in California that built Militoy. Sonny had nothing to do with it. I agree it was awesome. I would love to have me one. I wonder if he still has it?
speaking of soni, how would you like this as a tow rig?? tow rig in the background, diesel scorpion in front
