I got a 1990 sub. The a/c was getting weak last summer. Now it dosent cool at all. Is there a way for me to know if it just needs charging or not? I got this feeling that the service center is going to tell me I need a new compressor if I need it or not. Thanks.

If it was weak last year and now it sucks you almost definitly need only a recharge

They'll prolly want to put some dye in there so they can find out where it's leaking...but ya, sounds like you just need a recharge
