Anybody have a good way of getting GM part numbers so that I can replace my parts through GM Parts Direct without going through a dealer?

You can get the part #'s through the dealer and then order them from where you want to. Is it cheaper going through GM Parts Direct then the dealer?

Lets put it this way, I just ordered a dash and four new hinges from gmpartsdirect.com. The dash from a local dealer was $287. Through the website it was $169 + 30 shipping. The hinges ranged from $29.75 - 44.21 from the dealer. Including shipping, the same hinges ranged from $24 - 31. Don't get the stuff right away like you could at a dealer's counter, but that's about a 25%-30% discount including shipping. NC people would also have to pay sales tax, but it still is the cheapest place I have found for new GM parts.

Thanks for the info. I will have to check it out since I need a dashpad and some other parts after my lift is done.
