How do I ID my transfer case???

    If there is a good writeup on it, let me know. If not, how do I tell??? The truck is an 86 Blazer but I think the case came from a 78...either way what are my choices through the years?

    Choices are NP 203, 205, 208. 203 is full time, unless it is converted. 205 has a cast iron case and is gear driven. 208 aluminum case, chain driven. There should be a tag on the back (towards the rear of the truck...at least on the 208 there is) that will ID the case if it is still legible. I believe for 78 the option was 203 or 205, but I may be wrong.

    Though CO-K5 is a tremendous resource, occasionally I find that crazy Chuck the snowplow man has what you need. Here's one of those times:
