Its leaking a little around where the driveshaft hooks up and I hear a kind of humming/howling noise when in gear?

Trust me mine went out a couple of months ago. When it start to make this annoying whining sound that just gets worse and worse. Check into getting higher gears for the front and back like 3.73's if youever plan on or already have bigger tires i made the mistake and just got 3.42's replaced now i wish i just would have changed the front and back to higher gears now i need them badly with bigger tires.

you can always pull the diff cover and look for metal flakes, and chipped, missing, or very worn gears.
