how do i make 52" springs fit on my 56" brackets on a 3/4ton

    how do i make 52\" springs fit on my 56\" brackets on a 3/4ton

    im in the process of puting a lift on my 3/4 ton longbed. the springs i plan to purchase are 52" long. the shackles are 56" apart. how do i correct this? do i have to relocate the one of the shackles? any help is appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

    yes, and there are extra holes in frame rails,

    If you're going to lift springs get the 56" ones they flex better and will ride better than 52" ones.

    i am trying to go through 4 wheel part warehouse. all of their springs are 52". where else can i purchase the 56" system? thanx. p.s. are both the front AND rear springs the same length?

    Rix go over to the Nor Cal Big Dawgs site and ask Sierra Off Road, they'll beat 4WPs price and have better service to boot.

    i agree with the statement above, stick with the 56"s... i actually took the 52"s out of my truck and put 56"s in

    But to answer that question, I would think that you could just take the Top leaf with the spring eyes off the 56" spring pack, and swap it to the 52" spring pack. might lose a little lift but that should work..

    Yeah bro, dont downgrade. Everyone is always trying to put in longer springs it would be a waste to downgrade to some shorter ones. No the front and rear springs are not the smae length. The fronts on a second gen are 48" I believe. Later
