I found a cheap beater truck to buy, but it doesn't have a title. Is there any way to obtain one? Is it to much of a hassle? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
    Thanks,

it is a hassel specially in CA, it's more of time and patience. check out www.dmv.ca.gov you should find some tips there.

basicly you have to write a letter to the last known registed owner, dmv should give(sell) you that information, 1st base. letter has to be certified and recipent has to sign it off. if that person does not live there or does not respond within 30days, you have made it to 2nd base. you'll have to pay all back fees and such, 3rd base. good luck running home :-)

Why do you need a title? Do you want to drive the truck on the road?

If you do, just obtain a junk truck with a title and steal the VIN plate from the windshield. Not too hard.

Yeah, don't let a little thing like the threat of being Bubba's cell bitch dissuade you. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
