how do you change the mirrors out of a 86 k5

    I had my drivers side mirror glass fall out today, I need to replace the mirror, is it a bitch to replace the whole assymbly or should I just replace the glass. how do you get the whole mirror off. or whats a easy why to just get the glass out of another mirror because I do have a used mirror chillin at home. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

    Just go to the parts store and buy a new mirror glass,comes with the glue to put it on.Under $10 IIRC.Jason

    Any glass shop can order the glass (called a Redi-Cut mirror) from their local distributor and install for under $15.00. Benefits are: they will use better urethane (glue) to hold it on and if they break it installing it, no loss to you. Piece of cake! Good Luck!
