I have a couple vehicles in the FS section that I am considering parting out if I cant sell them as whole. What do I do with the left over parts, like the frame, cab, etc.??

I wish you were on the East coast, I would've been happy to remove your extra parts.
    Good luck

So the junk yards will pick up partial vehicles. Do they charge you? Do you know if they have to be rolling chassis? Maybe I'll call the local yards and see what they say. Thanks for the info.

When you find out let me know because I've got a cab, bed, and really twisted frame that nobody wants.

mine don't. most will take them just for the scrap weight. at least around here. If it still rolls , you could bring it to a steel scrapper and maybe get a couple bucks for the steel. but thats a pain.

if there are anyscrap yards near you you can take them there.you may need to produce titles tho.also check around at the local bodyshops they have people that come there to pick up the scrapmetal, maybe theyll hook you up w/ the person that does.they wont charge you for picking it up.they make their money off scrapping it.they may want you to cut the stuff up in smaller peices.like the frame into 3 sections or somethin.

Around here we have quite a few guys that'll pick up unwanted cars for free, they'll also take anything steel. It all goes to the crusher so they make their money by the pound.

A buddy at work had a car he hated and when he was done with it we had a destructo party...it was rammed with a forklift, driven over with my truck and ripped open with my boss's small escavator. When we were done you could hardly tell what it was but the scrap guy picked it up for nothing. All we had to do was sweep up after.

Around here all the scrap removal guys advertise in the free ad papers (Buy&Sell)

Scrap metal guy came by and winched my cancer ridden 79 body tub up onto his flatbed along with a bent 91 Jimmy frame for FREE :-) Took a couple tries to get the tub up over the end of the bed though, the chains ripped through the rusted cab like butta. Tipped him 10 bucks I was so happy to have it out of my front yard..

You find a friend with a lift and gut the thing beyond belief. Took us about 10 hours to gut a burb this weekend, drop it on a trailer. Then drive it to the scrapper and watch the front end loader with forks on it smash the side windows and pick it up like nothing an toss it on the pile.
I took us ten hours cause we tried to save a lot of miscelaneous items, usually we can gut a car or tuck in 4 hours. We need to start a chop shop!!! ;-)
