how do you take the steering column out?

    like question says..i can take the wheel of..what after that? i want to begin dismantaling the body...i know i have to disconnect all the wires form the fire wall..take out the steering column, and disconnect the tranny/t-case linkage..and body mounts..

    Are you gonna try to fabricate a swing set steering conversion for it? You should really notice a difference. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Would I have to take the steering column out to goto crossover steering? Or would I start somewhere else? My steering wheel is loose up and down So I think I'm gona start tearing into it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

    Do you have to unhook the cruise control at the vacuum module to replace those bushings inside the column?

    I think that the cruise control vacuum hoses need to be backpressured to do that.

    I dont know...I paid a guy to do mine.. but he did put poly ones in with 1/4" spacers

    Do you know the pressure needed? And would this be adjusted to the outside air pressure at the time?
