I get P.O.'d from time to time, and usually get away from what ever is P.O.ing me. sometimes to the shop, sometimes away from what I'm working on in the shop. Sometimes I go for a M/C ride. How do you do it.

Get away from the problem; remove from the source. ( It really works)

That's the original idea of 'Time Out'.

    Now it's used more like a punishment :( .

wish this was multiple choice.. I can do everything in that list depending on the situation. I have anger issues and sometimes I actually continue fixing the problem then go cool off. I guess that's just me.

Normally I just store anger and forget about it, but sometimes if it just stacks up rapid fire, like 20things at once, Ill go punch some inanimate object, solid wood door, freezer in the garage, somethin like that. But its rare I get to that point, normally just store it and get over it.

I generally try to deal with problems head on, and I dispose of any leftover anger by launching little bits of lead @ 1000 FPS or more downrange at innocent inanimate objects. Going to the range is like therapy for me sometimes.

If it's on the truck, walk away, if it's in the house, talk it over.

Damnnn Cant vot for two choices Usually i start drinking and proceede to the neeekid running around the yard to vent anger..... Look out for flying beer bottles.

But when i dont want to impress the neighbors a good workout with a splitting maul, on the O'l wood pile works for me.

I just pound on the heavy bag until I quit caring about why I was mad in the first place..

I've learned ( the hard way ) not to drink a lot , or work on anything important when I'm pissed off..

I was seeing a "doctor" and taking med's but that starts to piss me off, taking a pill or 6 everyday. I find that going on to CK5 and typing really fast while telling lies to everyone makes me feel better.

With me, it really depends on what the issue is and how much anger it builds up.

I've been pretty pissed off at various stuff in my life but I have yet to reach that raging boiling point to where it gets to the point of really hurting someone.

The day I caught my ex-wife's boyfriend in her bed while we were still married did not get me to that point. Yeah, I was pissed off but we were already talking to lawyers about divorce, etc.

I do remember being pissed off to the point where I had "tunnel vision" before. But nothing happened as far as hurting someone or myself. I can pretty much control my temper pretty quick if need be.

As I get older, and hopefully wiser, I hope to gain that level-headed confidence to never get mad and blow up. My dad is the perfect example. He never gets mad nor cusses. I really wish I can be like him. I guess with time, as it goes by each day, I can only hope to be like him some day.

I try to distance myself so I have time to think now that I am old enough for quick reactions to have consequences.

Depends on the situation. If it's something I can remedy, I'll deal with it. If not, I either go drive like an asshole for about 30 minutes or try to take my mind off it with either music or sleep.

Actually, sleeping anger off is kind of a bad trait I have. I can be plain murderous, sleep, and have completely forgotten about it the next morning. Which sucks, because I end up letting people walk all over me because I can get over things so easily.
