I just got a 14 bolt with an eaton posi, but plan to put a detroit locker in the future, what am I looking at as far as diffuculty? or expensiveness? or what other locker can I put in my 14 bolt, thanks guys.

Well, I can't quite remember exactly, but I know that to fit a Detroit into the 14bff, it had to be originally an Open carrier. Hopefully someone can help here, I just remember something about a different number of pins or something...sorry I can't be more specific or remember, but it's Friday and I'm tired! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Ya Keith you're right, To put a detroit in a FF14B you need an open diff carrier with 4 pinion gears. The gov loc versions had only three pinion gears, If it is an eaton posi and not the gov loc you'd need a new carrier also.
