I was poking around under the blazer earlier this evening trying to find a vibration and i put my hand on the tail shaft of the transfer case and it was hotter than hell! The rest of the transfer was only warm. I checked the yoke and u joint and again they were too hot to touch. I realize that they're only inches from the catalytic convertor but I'm a little leary seeing as I just replaced the t case 2 weeks ago. I was thinking that the airflow would keep it as cool as the rest of the running gear. Hopefully its just heat from the cat, but lemme know what you all think.

Well I'd put some heat insulation between the t-case and the cat drive it around so the cat can get warm and see if it helps.
