Didn't plan on having all this stuff at the house right now, but it looks like it's going to be this way for a week or so.

First question: Do you and your neighbors get along very well?

Theres two that newly moved in this year... so I guess I'm "breaking them in". I've talked with them and they seem nice and haven't said anything. The others don't ever say anything usually. My mom's boyfriend lives across the street, and the house next to us is up for sale.

City codes don't bug you about your trailer being up on jacks. Lucky dog. :D

I didn't feel like patching the tires myself, and they were way backed up at the tire shop today, so it's up on a jack for a while.

How populated is your town is the main question. If the town is a small one, who cares about the stuff piled in the drive.
If you're in a larger city, I will pray for you then. :haha:

    Spokane is a larger city.

There is a house back there. I hope they don't think it's a car lot. Even though a week ago I had a Crew Cab with a For Sale sign in the window and the motorhome I picked up has "$995" and "454" written on the windshield from the car lot I bought it from. Right now it's covered by snow.

No one's said a thing... so far. Usually I keep things moving around every day or two, or theres always something coming and going... or coming back again or leaving again.

I can't wait until I get my plow on the truck and plow out all the alleys and driveways. In my mind it's a fair trade... I plow the alleys in trade for them having to look at my junk. :D

I said a week, but 10 days is what I consider reasonable. Thats 2 weekends of working and a week to buy parts in between. I try to keep my stuff hidden behind the house or in the garage. I also try to nice things for the neighbores, it is great for keeping them off your back.

My neighborhood is a great example. I have five vechicales here,; '73 Blazer, '80 Jimmy, '92 Bontiville, '95 Yukon, and a '96 Grand Cherokee, plus an 18' equiptment trailer, now throw in some axles, bumpers, & fenders and I could have a mess. However when driving by all you can see are the 3 from the '90s. All the people living around me talk to me & think I'm a good neighbor.

OTOH my neighbore at the corner has $hit strewn everywhere. A mid '80 K5 that has the hood up and front tires off for a year. A smashed, almost new GMC, a couple smashed sedans, a SBC, and a engine hoist all on his lawn.

There's even a guy down the street that runs a parttime garage out of his house that I don't think anyone would ever complain about.

If you keep it hidden the problems go away.

Consider yourself lucky. My town, Keizer, OR has the normal 72 hour rule. Which I beleive is the standard for many towns. It states no parking on the street for longer then 72 hours at a time. This applies to trailers, rv's nonrunning cars etc... The police will warn you, if what is parked on the street looks undrivable such as missing tires or a flat tire, then you have 72 hours or it will get towed.

There was a proposal to limit all trailer parking on streets to 8 hours only and to limit RV parking on streets to 20 days over a 90 period. This was quickly shot down and will be reviewed later. I wrote a letters to the city council members and the night of the public hearings they got a ear full and backed off. It was a poorly written and confusing proposal.

If thier yard is clean, they should encourage you, making them think that thier house is better wile having more stuff at your disposal.
