My Chilton's says 7.5 pints (3.75 quarts) for a refill, but I'm not sure how much more it would be for an empty converter. Anybody else know??

The TH400 in my 73 took 17 quarts to fill.
Deep pan and a huge cooler.
After 10 qts I was lookin under the rig to see if it was running out.
