Well I think the starter on my crew cab is going south and was wondering if anyone knew how many teeth my flywheel should have? Its a 88 with 454 tbi and 4 speed. And is any starter better than another? And are the mini starters worth the extra money? Just thought that the mini starter might give me a little more room for things not to get so hot, I think the starter is suffering from heat soak. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

well, i got the remote solenoid and a powermaster torque xs starter. i do think it was well worth the money. it cranks over everytime...even while under 3ft of water /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif o yea, also cured heat soak
