160K and I burn about a quart per oil change, about every 5,000 miles.

your truck runs on gas? wow mine ran on just oil /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Nah kidding but my 305 in my 84 with 170k miles well yeah that thing burned a tiny bit of oil. I would fill it and within about a month and only a couple hundred miles it wouldn't register on the dipstick. I put in 2 quarts and it barely registered, can't believe she died can ya? hopefully the brand new 355 doesn't behave the sameway, I would be mad!

I have about 30K on my 350, and I burn around .5-1.0 quarts between changes. (3000 miles). It does alot better if I am running for long distances. If I do alot of city driving with stopping the motor and restarting it after it sits for awhile it burns more. I am pretty sure it is my valve stem seals that leak.

Yep, that was my answer this summer. 20W50. Of coarse in AZ when it is 100+ outside at night 20W50 is just fine, and it burns alittle slower. I currently am running 15W40 Synthetic Blend, but I just picked up my new oil today. 10W30 syn. blend because now I am in Colorado and it is in the singles digits at night so thinner is better. If Redline wasn't $9 a quart I would run that, but on a jobless college student budget I can't afford it. So the Quaker State 4x4 will have to do.

My engine probally has about 100,000 miles on it, second cam in this engine. Just runs Great.
It smokes a little when you first start it up and it burns about a quart every 1,500-2,000 miles.

My 91 has 168k+ miles and burns no oil between changes. I run full synth oil 10w30 and change it every 3-4k miles. As from gas mileage.... that is another story, My speedo is off 15-20% so I guess that I run 8-11 mpg with a 700r4, 4.10 gears and 35" BFG's

i got about 100,000 miles onmine and lose about a quart a week which is about every 150 miles.i got too many leaks and no garage and id rather not take it to a shop to have them fix it.and its 12 degrees with 2 and a half feet of snow outside.i still run 20 50 so i dont loose as much oil.im pretty sure the valve seals are trash because it smokes for about a minute rigth after i start it.then goes away.im gonna try and fix all of it this summer.im sick of checking the oil all the time.

No oil burnage for me. About 2 miles on freshly rebuilt motor. As for the Blazer, I have no idea how many miles it has. The previous owner apparently tried to set back the odometer and screwed up /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif (didn't do it the right way hehe), plus the speedometer doesnt work anyway, but I'm workin on it.
