Ok, here it goes. Just to make my '84 K10 shortbox go down the road, it has taken:

An '87 Camaro for an engine I blew up already
    '82 K20 axles
    '79 K10 tranny/transfer/front shaft
A different '79 K10 stepside for the frame
    '86 K30 engine/radiator now
    '81 C20 clutch pedals/parts
    '87 C30 steering column

That's 7 vehicles just right now and I swear it's taken more than that even. How many did yours take?

I don't think I have enough room for them all but here goes a good list:

    1. 90 K5 starting point.
    2. TBI unit off 89 or 90 something.

    9. 4:10 gears in 14ff, unknown source
    10. D60, 84 CUCV

    12. Powerlock in D60, was actually out of a Dodge and converted.
    13. Steering block from Yunit's 87
    14. Front bumper from Boss's 90
    15. Front shackel mounts from CUCV ambalance

    25. 14ff rear cover from mid 80's 3/4 ton
    26. Rear seat belt from 83 K5

    28. Pitman arm and draglink from 87 K5
    29. A bunch of parts from my 89 Jimmy
    30. 3/4 ton spring plates unknown source

That is a list of just used parts and I probably forgot some. Now you know where it's name BITS-N-PIECES came from. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif I also have more used parts to add to the truck now that are not on the list. Most of the unknowns were just scrounging around for parts over at a buddys place along with axles and assorted axle parts.

It's not named Frankentruck for nothing....

    198x K5 tailgate
    197x K5 Topper
    1981 K10 passenger door
    1983 K20 drivers door
1985 K10 core support, hood, drivers fender
    1981 K5 Passenger fender
    1984 K10 Front Bumper
    1986 K10 Rear Bumper
    1985 K10 front/rear axle
    197x Kx 465/205
    1974 K20 engine
    198x Kx ralley wheels
    1979 K5 rear springs
    198x Kx front springs
    1984 K10 hubs
    198x C/K dash pad
    1986 K10 clutch pedals
    1985 K10 clutch slave/master cylinder, bellhousing
    1983 K10 steering column
198x Grand Prix steering column bowl (to make auto column floor shift)
    1989 K5 steering wheel
    1987 C30 Speedometer
    197x Camaro tach
    1983 Instrument cluster housing
    198x Instrument cluster bezel
    198x K5 seats
    1981 K5 frame
    1986 K5 body
    1982 Cadillac AM/FM/Tape/CB radio

And then theres the miscellaneous stuff like tail lights, crossmember, t-case adapter, distributor, interior wiring harness, engine harness, light harnesses, topper windows, door panels, and so on that all came from various other wrecking yard vehicles. It's what happens when you build something from the ground up. All the x's are indicative of seeing an ad in the paper, and driving over and buying something out of someones garage. I can't imagine how many miles I've driven collecting all those parts.

    2...

85 K30 and cut off all the junk in that doesn't make it go further or impact safety.

89 K20 Sub for the 350 TBI and complete civi 12V wiring harness from the cab forward.

    Everything else I built.
