I'm getting ready to order some bump stops, and needed to know how much the 4.5" bumpstops will compress.

    Thanks,

They're basically done compressing when they're about 2.25" tall. We usually plan on about 2" of active travel in the stops. They do limit slow going articulation style travel with about 1/2" of deflection or less. Usually under those conditions, they're being pushed sideways or at some angle too. For keeping them happy under hard impact conditions, you really need to have a good flat spot for them to land, they don't like hitting axle tubes at all, they tend to squirt off one side or the other and break the urethane away from the mounting plate.
