Its a DD/weekend trail warrior, when it runs. 1984 K5, completely stock when purchased.

    Truck: $1500
    1 Ton Axles: $850
    Various Lift Parts: $125
    Misc: $100

TOTAL: $2575 .....with a lot more that needs to be spent! I hate adding it all up. Its so disappointing to see that number and then look at the truck not running right now. I know its small compaired to some people number, thats still a lot of cash to me!

Well I bought my truck about a year and a half ago for 3k, since then I would say I have put about 3k into it. Unfortunately it was fixing all the problems that I was un aware of before I bought it. Not enough of the stuff I wanted. It is slowly getting there though /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif I use my truck as a daily drivier if you call the 2 mile drive to work everyday. 3K got me a new 3 core radiator, fixed a/c, new tires (mtr's) 2 1/2" suspension lift, new shocks, rebuilt top end of motor, crane cam, edelbrock carb and intake, K&N airfilter, new brakes f/r, trailer hitch, new grille, off road lights, roll bar, swaybar disconnect, steering box brace kit, etc....etc...... /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif..

About $5400 TCO including all my spare parts and two motors. It's my daily driver.

Some of that includes building a third motor and the money I've got set aside for a winch.

Oh, and that includes all my tires, including the ax wound set.

Just a guess of the big stuff I've bought I'd say about $20,000 in mods and $13,000 for the truck.

I'm in the 5 digit numbers.

Just in the last few months, I've bought winch, bumpers, 1 ton gear, crossover, new bed, TBI, serpentine stuff.....$3000+ expended EASILY, if not more, I'm scared to add it up.

Forgot to mention my truck is still streetable but I generally only drive it to the trail and in the summer. I would prefer to drive it more but it's just not to that point yet, soon it will be though. It's in a very serious stage of buildup (probably about stage 4 and the most drastic for this truck) right now.

    Part time driver/trail rig.

Paid $100 for it and have about $8000 in it now. We plan to sink another $4000 or so into it this year. It was not a $100 junker either, when we got it almost 2 years ago it was a clean stock running and driving all but rust free truck. The paint was not the best and it ran crappy. The owner thought it needed a engine swap but it was plug wires and some tbi issues. Kinda funny now considering the engine is the only drivetrain part that has not been swapped. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
