    How much lift for 33\'s...

I was just wondering if anyone knew what kind, and how much of a lift would i need to run 33x12.5 BFG AT's. It would go on my stock '96 Chevy 1500 Z71. I'm hoping for the quick fix, but just from talking to friends... it doesnt look like there is one. I was originally just looking into getting a 3" body lift by itself, but I heard that's not a good idea. Any info on the subject would be appreciated...

4" suspension lift, or, 2.5" suspension lift, + a 2" body lift is my thinking.

I run a 3" body lift on my Z71 and I really dig it, but that is my daily driver, I use the blazer to go and break stuff (usually my 1/2 ton junk /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif) it fits 33's no problem had to crank the torsion bars about 1 1/2 turns to keep them out of that funky plastic airdam

on a stock '96 Chevy 1500 Z71 you will need a 5 inch body lift to fit 33/12.5s. and then you might want to lower your your truck 2 inchs. you might want to do a search to find the right info. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

put 4" blocks out back and a 4" 1/4 elliptic leaf spring in front. That would be your best bet imo. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
