How much oil pressure should a 87 TBI 350 have. Mine when it is hot has about 20 when in park and about 15 in drive. That seems really low. I am thinking it is time for a rebuild. Maybe with a Compucam and vortec heads, vortec intake manifold and some headers and a bigger TBI.

That's plenty of oil pressure for a stock small block at idle. Does the pressure increase once the revs rise? As long as it does, then you've still got a lot of life left in that engine. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

All you need is 10psi for every 1,000 rpm's. An example would be 10 psi at idle would be fine. At 3,000 rpm's you should have 30 psi.
