How much oil to put in a 205

    Fixing to go to the parst store to buy the gear oil, 90 weight if I remember right, how many bottles do I need to buy? 1 or 2

    I'd buy a couple for the NP205 and the differentials while you’re down there

    I read someowhere that the 203/205 tiake 40 weight motor oil... is that true...???

    The 203 takes motor oil. the 205 takes 90 weight gear lube.

    2 pts in a qt. sounds like you need at least 3. I would buy one of the tall qt bottles and a gal jug to refill it.

    I like the tall quart bottles...easy to fill the diff/t-case or whatever with them.

    Don't waste your time with bottles. Gear dope doesn't have a shelf life. Buy the 5 gallon bucket. If you get the Coastal brand from Autozone, it's GL5 instead of GL4. It also costs less per quart in bulk. Park so that your 205 is level....not the truck, the case.....fill to overflow.
