I tried to ask this in the list your part #'s thread, but no answer. I will be installing my old 4" lift on my buddies 87 K5 soon. He has the dual shock set up in front, so we are trying to go cheap on shocks. I am planning to get the Gabriel cheapo shocks, so I need to know how much travel to look for.

The front shocks that came with my 4" lift were 19" compressed and 31" extended.

    Hey,
YOu can use that Gabriel shock number for the rear of that 4 inch lift i bet. FOr the front, that number would be too long. It's good for a flexy 6inch front lift though. Just ask to look at the shock book and find one that is about 4 inches shorter that the number i gave in that other post. Officially people say to flex the truck out and measure to find out the real numbers but you don't have that ability i bet since it's not together yet.
