how much trimming with a 40.5\" tire?

I will have 7.5 inches on the suspension and 3 on body. The body on my truck is in great shape and I dont want to make any major cuts. Can I get away with just the rear of the front well or would I have to do more. I refuse to trim the rear. If its more than that I will go with something about 39". ALso most of my time is in mud so flex isn't that big but will happen crossing ditches and such.

with 10.5" of lift you should be able to clear with miner trimming. You might also consider cut out frairs if you want to keep that nice clean look

I considered cutouts but the tires will be fairly skinny (13") and I dont think they look good unless you have wide tires.
