I would say you should beable to pick one up for no more than $200 tops. Usually between $100-$200. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

My junkyard friend said that yards here in Corpus usually sell them for $800-$1000!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif and that he sells them for $600... I wonder why they're so damn expensive around here. Good thing im gettin mine from a $250 truck /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

It depends on where you get it.

If you go to a wrecker where they pull all the parts for you they think anything 8-lug is gold (and price it as such).

If you go to a U-Pull-It type place you can pick one up for alot less!

    yes do avoid yards

i sold my 14 bolt FF 3.73 for 100 bucks with perfect brakes and cable and leaf paltes even, no one will give any more for it than that, 14 bolt are worthless cept to yard owners, ppl like us wont scrap them and will practically give them away just to see them not scrapped whereas a yard will scrap them rather than not get X amount of money, this goes for anything in a yard, at all

youll find a bargain deal if you buy from private individual

    good luck

I pulled a junkyard 14-BFF 3.73 with good brakes and a detroit for $100 with exchange for a mangled one. $150 is the going price from my guy flat out, but you go to the next yard down the road and its $400. Just gotta let your fingers do the walking.

semi floaters are either 8 lug or 6 lug and it took me forever to find one for 100, but paid an extra for him to cut an hour and a half off my trip

turns out need new R&P i have never seen a 14FF R&P torn like this one is. i knew i needed new gears from the start, but i planeed on using 2wd for awhile, so it really sucks!

Pick N Pull /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif its no secret. Newark and Oakland usually has a couple 14 bolts. When I went to the San Jo one on Monterey I didn't see any. That was a couple months ago so go check. Depends on who's workin the desk but they usually go for 115-140.

I paid 300 for a 14SF 8 lug. New brakes so it was a good deal for around NY. Most yards want 400 - 500 for the common 8 lugs, and 700 - 800 for the 6 lugs? Don't know why the 10 and 12 bolts go for more, but they do. /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif
