I would bathe mine more often if it was not such a hassle. She HATES baths. At 105 pounds, if she does not cooperate, baths turn into a 3 hour ordeal, with lots of growling, howling, wrestling, and cussing. When it is necessary, I put on a swim suit and drag her (literally), into the shower. My wife stands on the outside of the shower door and keeps it closed.

Once a month unless they get into something.

Twice a year, but not every 6 mos it that makes sense. It was more often wen he was younger and liked to go "exploring". If you wash them too much its bad for their skin. I've heard not more than once a month from groomers and vets.

Once every 2-3 months normally. He also gets washed after we take him hunting...he has this insatiable appetite for mud puddles and bogs.

NEVER. I gave up after trying to give the dumbasses baths only to watch them go back outside and roll around in the grass and dirt to get dirty again. :doah:

I let nature give them a bath when they run around outside. Nothing stinks more than the smell of "wet dog". :doah:

Generally once a month, sometimes longer. Depends on if he gets into anything or not.

Fortunately, Huskies only need one once or twice a year. Barring the occasional skunk!

About every 3 or 4 days, actually. She's an inside/outside dog, so she has to smell good for when the ladies come over... :D It all depends on the shampoo you use. Don'e be using flea and tick stuff that often, that's REALLY bad for them. I just use a deoderant shampoo that's not harsh. Never had a problem with her skin, and she actually has a real shiny coat.
